Product Review-Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum

13 Sep

Argan oil, it’s the product mentioned in multitude of celebrity interviews, beauty expert columns, and on beauty bloggers sites. Argan oil, also called Moroccan oil, is the biggest natural ingredient to take the beauty world by storm since the Acai berry. Argan oil is produced from the kernels of the Argan tree, endemic to Morocco, hence its pseudonym Moroccan oil. The oil is touted as being a multipurpose product that can tame frizz, soothe irritated skin, and provide excellent moisture with a single use. Perfect for the curly-haired girls we have on staff so we decided to try Josie Maran’s Argan Oil Hair Serum. Immediately you notice its light scent, a combination of citrus and Earl Grey, and the silky texture of the oil that absorbed into hair easily. The formula definitely weighed down curls creating a smoother, natural look. We also applied it before blow drying and were pleased to see it left hair shiny and soft, not oily. This would be a great product for someone with thick hair or course hair, but use it sparingly if your hair is fine. With such great results we’re looking forward to trying Argan oil on our skin.

The Company says, “It’s the shine of the times! Argan Oil Hair Serum gives instant shine and long-lasting rejuvenation. Subtly scented with geranium and bergamot fruit oils, the ultra-light, never-greasy formula penetrates the hair shaft to seal split ends and deliver intense moisture to each layer of the hair strand. Ingredients include: Argan Oil (aids in hair growth and restores elasticity), Jojoba Oil (moisturizes and strengthens hair), Avocado Oil (nourishes hair and scalp), and Vitamin E (helps to keep hair young and shiny). Your hair instantly looks and feels healthier, silkier and extraordinarily shiny. Also the formula is alcohol free.”
