Summer Skin Without the Sun

26 May

Summer time is all about the skin. It’s the time of the year when you show the most, whether you’re wearing sundresses or stripping down to a bikini for beach time adventures, and everyone wants to have the perfect sun-kissed glow. But the sun can be damaging on your skin, causing premature aging such as sun spots, wrinkles, and also put you at risk for skin cancer.

To achieve summer skin without the sun, we recommend adding a bronzer to your daily makeup look. Follow these easy steps for the perfect summer complexion.

Step One: Use a foundation brush to apply concealer to any blemishes or red areas, as well as under the eyes to even out your complexion.

Step Two: Apply your normal foundation over the concealer, blending well on your neckline and hairline. You may use a sponge to dab up any excess foundation.

Step Three: Brush on a layer of loose powder in the same color as your foundation to prevent shine. Use long, even strokes for proper blending.

Step Four: Using a large brush, dust on your bronzer in the shape of a 3, starting at the center of your forehead, continuing to your cheek bones, and ending at the center of your chin. We used Lorac Tantalizer and loved it!

Step Five: Dust off excess bronzer from your brush and blend well in long sweeping motions down your face and onto your neck. This will even out your sun-kissed glow and make it look natural.

Our favorite is Lorac Tantalizing bronzer but another good one is Bobbie Brown Bronzing Powder. If you need a more wallet friendly suggestion Covergirl Trublend minerals Golden Sunrise works great. I hope these helped!

Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons Bronzer is great. I love the different shades in one.
