The Perfect, Kissable Lips

2 Feb

Who doesn’t want to have the perfect pout? Actresses like Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson have the lips every girl loves to envy, and it’s time to give your lips a kissable make over. With a little shadowing and definition, your lips can have the movie star quality you’ve always dreamed of.

1. To start your lip transformation, apply your regular makeup, including foundation, or if you want a barefaced look, just use your moisturizer.

2. A lipstick base is a must, and we love Benefit’s Lip Plump, which will fill in the lines of your lips, giving them a fuller, smoother quality. Dab four small dots, one under each arch of your bow, and two on your bottom lip mirroring the top. Use a small sponge or your finger, and rub into your lips.

3. Using a medium nude/neutral lip liner like Benefit’s automatic lip liner duo pencil in Naked Ambition, draw a thin, half inch line on the center of your bottom lip line. Use a sponge and blend the color downwards until the line is blended well, creating a shadow just under your lip line.

4. Using a shimmery, light nude lip liner like Benefit’s automatic lip liner duo pencil in Nudist Colony, draw a V on your cupid’s bow, highlighting your arch. Use an angled brush and blend the liner upwards, for definition.

5. Apply lipstick as usual. We love Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey because of the light, sheer feeling and the hint of color.
